Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information CheatSheet stores when you use the site, and the choices you have.
Last updated: October 19, 2026
CheatSheet is a free study website. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to make the site work, and we do not sell your personal information.
Information you provide
The only personal detail the site asks for is the name you type into the greeting dialog on the home page. That name is optional and is stored only in your own browser using localStorage. It is never sent to our servers. If you never enter a name, nothing is stored.
If you email us through the contact page, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use it only to reply to you.
Information stored in your browser
- cheatsheet:name — the display name you enter, so the greeting can address you on later visits.
- cheatsheet:theme — your light, dark or system theme preference.
These values stay on your device. You can clear them at any time through your browser's site data settings, and the site will continue to work normally.
Cookies and analytics
CheatSheet does not set advertising cookies and does not use cross-site tracking. The site is served as static pages. If we add privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics in future, this page will be updated before that change takes effect.
Third-party services
Pages load the Geist font family from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those fonts, Google may receive your IP address and browser details as part of serving the request. Please refer to Google's privacy policy for how that data is handled. No other third-party scripts are used for reading chapter content.
Children's privacy
The site is intended for school students and is safe for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The optional name is stored locally on the device and is never transmitted to us.
Data retention
We do not hold a database of visitor information. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to resolve your query.
Your choices
You can clear locally stored preferences through your browser settings at any time. If you have questions about data you have sent us by email, contact us and we will respond or delete it on request.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top of the page will change with it. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
